Snow for Christmas - well, probably just a little. It dusted the village this morning to a depth of about ½ inch. The effects of salt in North Road are clear. It was sunny, but the temperature barely rose above zero all day.

The six new properties to rent from Cornwall Housing Association at the Brambleside development off Treroosal Road were occupied this week. The remaining ten 'affordable' properties for sale are nearing completion.

Village Lights 2010

Christmas Lunches

The very popular christmas lunches in the Church Hall will be on Wednesdays, 1 and 8 December. The first lunch is fully booked, but there are still places on the 8 December - please ring Glenda, telephone 01208 851992. There will be a cake stall and free raffle at both lunches.

Broadband boost for Cornwall - where does St Teath fit in?

A super-fast broadband connection to 90% of homes in Cornwall was announced today with funding from the EU and BT. It is not clear if 90% will include St Teath - probably the best we can hope for is a fibre-optic cable to the pavement cabinet in Trehannick Road, which could easily boost speeds by 10 times what is available today.

In breezy, but sunny weather, 26 enthusiastic walkers with an age range of teenagers to about 70 (and a few dogs) started and finished in St Teath, with refreshment break at Tregragon. More.

On average, more than 150 people per day visited St Teath website in July. This is a new high, up from 100 per day last December. We know that many online visitors are from outside the village and increasingly holiday visitors seek local information. St Teath Parish Church Flower Festival Photos

Another successful Flower Festival was staged in the church from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 July with food served throughout. The Bishop of Truro preached in the church on Sunday and met many people attending the festival. See photos here.

St Teath Pantomime cancelled

St Drama Group has cancelled the pantomime scheduled for the end of February because of the sad and unexpected death of Jayne Stark, director and actor. Jayne has been associated with the drama group for many years and has been very active in village life. We will miss her very much.
