St Teath Allotments

There will be a meeting at the allotments in North Road for all the future allotment holders and anyone else who is interested at 3.00pm on Sunday 11th October. One of the items to be discussed is the clearance of the site in order that the allotments can be up and running next year. Take a look at the site.

Farewell to Rev Jem Thorold

Friends from the St. Teath area said goodbye to Sue and Jem Thorold who have been a great asset to the village since their arrival 2 years ago and will be badly missed. Jem has been appointed priest in charge at Menheniot, Quethiock and Merrymeet. More

Eating Cream helps Fun Club

Visitors to Pencarey's cream teas during the summer may also enjoy a ride on the model railway. The last tea for this summer resulted in £499 for the 7 - 11s Fun Club. Many thanks from the Club to organisers Yvonne, Alan, Diane and Les, plus all their helpers for this magnificant sum.

Rainfall Records

1 August 2009

You know July was wet, but how wet? After a record dry June any hopes for a dry summer were dashed by a total rainfall of 247 mm (nearly 10 inches) in St Teath. Unless you know better, this is likely to be a record and equivalent to a normal three months rain in one month. See here.

Broadband - St Teath in the slow lane?

Graffiti on Play Equipment

Parents of children who regularly use The Green were distressed and saddened by the extremely offensive graffiti that was recently scrawled over the new play equipment. If you have any information about the perpetrators of this senseless activity, please contact the parish Clerk on 01840 211790 - we all have a responsibility to stamp out this mindless behaviour.

Cornwall Council Elections - St Teath Division

John Lugg (Independent) will join the 123 new Cornwall councillors having been elected for the St Teath Division, which includes Delabole and St Breward. Result: John Lugg 957 votes, Henry James Kendall (Conservative) 512 votes on a turnout of 47%.
