The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Street Party

The Jubilee Committee is busy planning a street party for 4 June - to help with the cost of this, they have planned some fund raising events, so please make a note in your diary of an Easter Extravaganza on 31 March, to include stalls and refreshments, and one of Pearl's famous Bingo nights on 21 April. There will also be collection boxes in the shops and White Hart. We're looking forward to more details in due course!

The Shaping and Toning Group

After the Christmas break, classes have resumed on Thursday morning from 9.30 to 10.30 in the Church Hall. Sessions are led by Chloe Mewton from one2one Fitness Gym in Wadebridge and are suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Broadband Withdrawal Symptoms

Most of St Teath was without a usable broadband connection over the weekend. The download speed was OK, but there was no upload - essential for sending email, or access to Facebook, Ebay etc. It is now fully operational again (Sunday pm) and the upside is that our download speed has increased by about 30%. Trewennan Bridge Repairs Complete

Nearly three weeks after a car damaged the bridge parapet, repairs have now been completed and the road is clear. The corner at the lower end remains the site of many collisions and near collisions. More on old railway bridges nearby.

St Teath Parish Church Flower Festival

The event took place over the weekend 29 - 31 July and celebrated 40 years of flower festivals in the village. A part of the festival has always been the good food on offer and the team managed an excellent job. It is expected to raise nearly £4,000 for the church. More».

Another Shop gone from the Village

Sadly, Mrs Jean Davey's sweetshop, Churchtown, has now closed for the last time. There has been a business here for well over 100 years and at one stage it was an electrical shop. Jean, who always had a warm welcome for customers and time for a stop and chat, has been selling confectionery, cards and gifts for 57 years.

Churchyard Grass Cutting

You may have noticed that the grass in the churchyards already needs cutting. Volunteers please with mower/strimmer on Tuesday, 3rd May after about 5 pm. Free refreshment afterwards at the White Hart.
